NASEOH runs Smt.Kamla Mehta Vocational Training Centre for Disabled.
To enhance the employability of the persons with disabilities, NASEOH since over a decade has been running a multi-category training centre.
Currently, training is run in 12 areas with individualized, goal executed programme based on interest, ability, physical and mental capabilities.
Training Areas :
- Welding and sheet metal fabrication.
- Tailoring & embroidering.
- Orthotic & prosthetic fabrication.
- Typing.
- Foundation course in Englishv & Computer education (MS Office).
- Data Entry operation.
- Electronic assembly.
- Ceramicv & Pottery.
- Simple Manualv Skill.
- Kitchen skills.
- Bakery.
- Garden, Nursery & Bonsai.
- House Keeping.
- Other time bound courses.
Admission Criteria :
- Locomotor, mentally, sensory and neural from the age group between 16 – 30 yrs, with 40% disability and above will be admitted.
- Education and gender – No bar.
- Training including on the job is facilitated upto 4 yrs.
- No fees are charged.
- Social worker to be contacted for admission formalities and details.
Timings :
9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday in normal course.
