Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) of Rural Disabled
NASEOH’s Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program is dedicated to reaching individuals with disabilities in rural and underserved areas, where access to essential services is often limited. Our aim is to empower persons with disabilities within their own communities by providing support, resources, and opportunities for inclusive development.
Our Approach
We believe that rehabilitation is most effective when it takes place within the community. Our CBR model focuses on involving families, local stakeholders, and community members to create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.
Through a decentralized and grassroots approach, we ensure that services are accessible, sustainable, and tailored to the unique needs of rural populations.
Key Initiatives
1. Early Identification & Intervention
We conduct community surveys and awareness programs to identify individuals with disabilities at an early stage and provide timely intervention.
2. Home-Based Rehabilitation
For individuals who cannot travel to centers, our team provides therapy, guidance, and support at their homes.
3. Access to Education
We work towards integrating children with disabilities into schools by providing support, resources, and coordination with educators.
4. Skill Development & Livelihood Support
Vocational training and income-generating activities are introduced to help individuals become self-reliant within their local environment.
5. Awareness & Community Mobilization
We conduct awareness campaigns to reduce stigma, promote acceptance, and encourage community participation.
Family & Community Participation
CBR emphasizes the active involvement of families and the local community. We provide training and counseling to caregivers, enabling them to support the development and well-being of individuals with disabilities effectively.
Sustainable Impact
By empowering communities and strengthening local support systems, NASEOH’s CBR program creates long-term, sustainable impact. Individuals with disabilities are able to live with dignity, participate in community life, and access opportunities that improve their quality of life.
Our Commitment
Through community-based efforts, NASEOH continues to extend its reach beyond urban centers, ensuring that no individual is left behind—regardless of their location or circumstances.
